But in case you watching with a VLC player, Just open the VLC player Right-click on it, and then add Subtitle(SRT File). Move the Srt format file to the Movie/Tv Series Folder then start watching(Works with Windows media player. If you are using your Computer/PC/Laptop via Windows Media Player & VLC Player: Then go to the subtitle file(Srt file) and click on the subtitle file. 
Find the subtitle option and then open it(It might be the import option. Open the video player and select the video file you want to use. 
Move the Srt format file to the Movie/Tv Series Folder.Please extract it from Zip format if it is in that format.
